Staged Reopening Will Serve Residents Throughout the City
The city of Glendale is pleased to announce our two city pools at Foothills Aquatics Center and Rose Lane Aquatics Center will be open this summer. Both pools will offer full services including open swim, lap swim and swimming lessons. Due to challenges in recruiting and hiring qualified lifeguards, Glendale will open the facilities in stages to safely serve residents throughout the city.
Swim lesson registration for Foothills is open now. Registration for lessons at Rose Lane will begin June 1. Families interested in having children take part can visit our registration page.
The Foothills Aquatics Center will be open June 8-July 3 with the following hours:
Open Swim: June 8 – July 3 / Tues. – Sat. / 1:00-5:00
Lap Swim: June 8 – July 3 / Tues. – Sat. / 1:00-5:00
Swim Lessons: June 8 – June 18 and June 22 – July 2
Rose Lane will be open July 6-31 with the following hours:
Open Swim: July 6 – July 31 / Tues. – Sat. / 1:00-5:00
Lap Swim: July 6 – July 31/ Tues. – Sat. / 1:00-5:00
Swim Lessons: July 6 – July 16 and July 22– July 30
The Foothills Aquatics Center is located at 5600 W. Union Hills Drive. Features include 2 giant slides, a kiddie slide, a zero-depth-entry leisure pool with spray features, water playground, a lazy river, diving well with 2 diving boards, 6 lap lanes and a snack bar. Foothills has full locker rooms with day-use lockers. Visitors can bring their own lock or purchase one at the Foothills service desk.
The newly renovated Rose Lane Aquatics Center is located at 5003 W. Marlette Avenue. It features a large, zero-depth-entry leisure pool with spray features, a splash pad, a giant slide, a kiddie slide, and a big pool with a diving well and diving board. Rose Lane has outdoor day-use lockers. Visitors can bring their own lock or purchase one at the Rose Lane Cashier’s Office.
